It was Sunday, March 11th. It was 6:45 in the morning when I was leaving Beaver Medical Center from documenting the previous birth story I posted. I drove up to Mercy Hospital to meet another beautiful couple who were waiting for surgery to meet their fourth baby to complete their family. Momma looked amazing and was so excited to meet her little girl. After just meeting them for a few minutes before she has to get prepped, it was amazing to see the love they have for each other. You can feel it in the pictures. I had some down time with the proud daddy in the hall as we put scrubs on. We talked about kiddos, in home cameras, and how this baby was meant to be. I love getting to know the family. I was just as excited to meet the baby.
Inside the operating room, little miss Vivien Grace filled the room with love at 9:13am. She is perfect. She had the sweetest little cry as daddy held her close to momma to sooth her. Awee! She wanted her momma! Melt my heart! Another sweet moment is when the nurse put the ink print on daddy’s forearm. I almost wanted to ask for one myself. haha 🙂
Momma was a superwoman through the whole morning and recovery felt like five minutes long. Her and baby were doing great and ready to bond and visit with family. This is another favorite part of my day. Meeting all of their family as they are introduced to Vivien for the first time is a unique moment. The reactions of the grandmas are always perfect. They now have pictures to remind them of each glance, smile, and hug to celebrate that day forever. I am honored to be a part of it.
